JimsFactory: Things are getting less embarrassing

Its been a couple of weeks since I updated things here. I’ve done a few miles in my MX5 now and no one else has felt the need to shout abuse at me as I roll by so things are looking up…

So now I have started to get the car ready for a bit of a skid. :D Last time I had fitted my lovely HSD coilovers which I am getting on with perfectly. Since then I have picked up a pair of Lotus Elise seats – I’ve only fitted the drivers so far as making the rail took me more time that I would have liked. Problem is I’m over 6 feet and I now have the seat low enough for me to drive comfortably. Also I took the gash UK steering wheel off and fitted my sexy-time Nardi which has been fitted to both mine and Paz’s Corolla’s so I still have a bit of UK drift heritage in the car. The other thing I have done is replace the terrible wheels the car came on with some much happier looking E30 BBS’s! They’re 15×7 et24 but with an 8mm spacer to fill the arches with out looking all ‘Mexican’ with zero offsets tend to lean towards.

Nardi Classic

As you can see in the top pic – the front tucks nicely I have removed half the arch liners and given the top of the arch where it was catching a bit of hammer time. It drives sweet now and the wheels are free of the body unlike when I first HSD’d it. Next thing on the list is a Kaaz 1.5 way diff which is on order as we speak and should be here some time next week. I couldn’t resit having the real thing as 100,000 mile old Torsen seem to fetch real strong money anyway.

Paedo Bon

I’m also sporting one of my limited edition Paedo Bon… ohherrr I mean San Francisco Bon stickers if any one else wants to represent the ginger warrior get in touch.

As for my Factory work I have been busy doing a couple of new jobs,  I can’t put pictures up of one of them as its a suprise for someones birthday but the others I can though. I’ve been working on a Motocross helmet to go on display in a local MX shop its pretty much done now it’s taken a couple of weeks to fit it in around other things.

Jims Factory custom paint

Today I have done a quick job its my little niece’s 3rd birthday in a couple of weeks so I have painted her little bike helmet for her it’s still drying at the moment but here is what it looks like.

Jims Factory cycle helmet

Nothing quite like a House of Kolour painted helmet to destroy when your that young. The last pic is of next weeks project its fully stripped and primed now ready for a bit of magic over the next few days.

If you want anything painting it doesn’t have to be a helmet or even a car part I’ve been asked about game consoles and phone covers recently give me a shout look at www.jimsfactory.co.uk or check out my Facbook for more info.

Nice one and stay safe.
