EDC Round two
The build up to this weekend had been relatively calm by our standards. Bon had done a demonstration in Sweden the weekend before, but his car had landed back safely with surprisingly little wrong with it. |

Driftworks Japfest Demos. We were on fire!
Quite literally!
This year at Japfest, we decided to once again bring something new to the crowds, to show how drifting has progressed once again over the 2006 and early 2007 season. |

EDC Round 1
The month leading up to this event was pretty intense for myself and Bonbon. We’d both spent way to much time in the workshop, and I don’t think Bon had slept more than 3 hours a night in that time prepping his Chaser. |

We were invited by fellow 2006 D1GB driver Niall Gunn, to attend an event he was organising, to help promote drifting in the north.. His choice of track was Teeside Autodrome, which I've heard good things about, but never personally driven before. |

We had had a busy week making sure the Driftworks S14 drift car was fully prepped for this round. With the eight point lead we had in the championship, the stakes were still very high, so we wanted to ensure the car was reliable and we retained our 1st place. |

 | D1GB Round 1 at Rockingham was just the start to the season we needed, the weather was kind to us, the day ran very smoothly, and most importantly the action on track was without a doubt the best we have ever seen in the UK. |
|

We had a rather large job on our hands getting the car ready in time and as usual were working 14 hour days in the week before hand. |
|
 | This is the story of Declan's Toyota Soarer, built to compete in the D1 GB. Twelve weeks of hard work, late nights & mashed fingers. This is what it takes to build a drift car on your own, in a short space of time & a small budget for top level competition. |
