A day in the office – Part 19

Yea, so we’ve been quite busy. I’ve been away again doing stuff, James and Phil have been stuck behind computers doing stuff, our bloggers have been attending stuff and are writing up stuff now, and Bon’s been in the states doing stuff that is largely un-bloggable. However, expect things to pick up now again – after our announcement of AwesomeFest 2011 which has had the most ridiculously positive and overwhelming response we’re really fired up to do some really exciting things in 2011. But we’re not in 2011 yet, and it’s a rainy Tuesday afternoon, and I’m going to wander around with my camera again and see what’s what…

This ultra sexy-time Sil-Eighty belongs to our friend Abbas and is still one of the definitive lookers in the UK scene, we did a feature a while back (here since you ask) and he popped in to pick up a new Apexi air filter (from the DW shop) to help his engine breathe as it should – and as Phil was feeling too clean and tidy he volunteered to do a spot of grubby car work. Check out the Nardi too…

The Canary has just returned from the Nurburgring where I am delighted to report it did not explode, and did itself proud. It even did a complete lap in the dark, thanks to a job I was doing there with Volvo.

The JimsFactory roadster is also freshly back from Mallory Park having been clutch kicking and chucking it’s way round every corner imaginable! Jay’s Kaaz diff has been doing sterling work and the car is totally amazing. So amazing in fact, that now 40% of Driftworks own MX-5’s….

Inside, we’re still being Nardi whores, this 330 Deep Corn suede wheel required a spot of photography for the shop and I was only too happy to oblige. Perhaps we should do a ‘show us your Nardi’ thread?’

Whilst we were off air, the Photography competition ended, and I am totally and utterly blown away by the quality and quantity of entries! We never expected such a huge response, and I can assure you once we sort out the hundreds of pictures sent in we’ll get the judging (which will be done by you) underway!

In the mean time, you stay classy San Diego.

Abbas’ Sil-Eighty is really smart, like a lot. Pleased to hear of a successful mission for the Hairy Canary too.
