As I mentioned in my previous Car Make T&E post, we got to see something during our visit that I wasn’t quite expecting. The weather in Yokohama had taken a turn for the worst and was absolutely chucking it down, but keen to not miss out on anything we took a quick walk down the road to a little lock up where T&E keep some cars.
Inside were tons of random demo cars from throughout the years, most of which were Toyota Soarers. This Soarer was sporting a a full Vertex Ridge kit and some crazy titanium lipped wheels.
I wasn’t sure what to make of this S13 Silvia, all I know is I haven’t seen anything quite like it before. The body had been wrapped in some kind of camo/snakeskin print and it had pretty ridiculous wheel fitment. Also, notice the fully red interior with matching Bride seats – nuts! Does anyone have anymore information about this car?
My heart broke a little seeing one of my dream S15 Silvias just sitting there in the rain, unused, and unloved. I would have probably chopped my arm off if it meant I could have taken it back to England with me.
Sitting in amongst more sorry looking Toyotas and Nissans was one of the Vertex D1GP Soarers and an AE86 Levin.
Being a massive fan of the legendary Running Free team I got a little bit excited when I saw the sticker on the bonnet.
I have a bit of a love hate relationship when it comes to seeing cars in this state. On one hand they kinda look cool all beat up, and it makes me want to learn more about the history behind them and why they’re sitting there, and on the other I hate seeing them like this and I just want to take them all home and fix them! Maybe one day they’ll be restored to their former glory. Let’s hope so.

It was a sad sad place! Maybe because it was pissing down, and maybe because Ueno couldn’t be bothered to turn up for our pre-aranged appointment, but it was all a little bit dark seeing the same cars that make up the posh Vertex catalogue sitting there all battered and unloved.
That s13 you are asking about was used as a demo car at the Tokyo odaiba event this past season. I saw a pic of it in the speedhunters coverage. Sad to see these cars in this spot.
All those lovely Soarers there, so sad. God to see theres still loads in J land though 🙂

Damn sorry site, coming to a jap car auction site in the future lol. How much do those cars cost to buy there compared to here. Especially the s15 with the cheapest spec r i have seen going at 7k. That is some throw away money.
