If you're tuning your turbocharged car, you will want to change your spark plugs for 'colder' ones. These dissipate more heat from the cylinder and therefore help to reduce the risk of detonation.
Because the plugs need to reach a certain temperature in order to clean themselves, it's important not to go too cold or you risk fouling the plugs

As a general rule, the IK24 and IQ24 plugs are 2 grades colder than standard and should be used on mildly to moderately tuned cars
IK27 and IQ27 are 3 grades colder and should be used with highly tuned cars

IKs are suitable for SR20DET (200SX S14) engines and IQs are suitable for the CA18DET (200SX S13) and RB series Skyline engines
