I surprised myself this afternoon:

I was doing around 25-30 i guess and was in second gear in a large empty damp car park so i thought, right, im gonna try something now!! In one motion i steered quite heavily to the right and from what i can remember, partially kicked the clutch.

There was a chirp from the tyres and the next thing i know the car is sideways at some extreme angle and amazed at the speed at which it happened. I made a sin i guess by raising the right foot most of the way off the throttle (i've got to get those reactions sorted), and frantically wound some opposite lock on (a lot more than i had expected to). After what seemed like an age of going sideways (and me thinking its going to spin out), the car straightened up and kicked a little before gripping and slowing.

Needless to say i had a huge smile on my face after that.

Im hooked

I've got 225/40/18 tyres on which i've noticed seem to cause the car to change angle at a greater speed than on the standard wheel/tyre set up.
