Actually Mark Johnston had 'started' qualifying in his car and therefore cannot change his car once he's running, but I'm sure you knew that or have demos blurred your vision on what real competition Drifting's about

If you have something to say Dave about other 'event organisers' then at least have the decency to ensure decorum and an indepth knowledge of whats what in competition Drifting before sticking your neck out

Anyway, the judging was spot on and in the specific case of Niall information was passed on from what was seen from not only the judging stand but also the start line, so its a bit harse to jump to conclusions without the full extent of knowledge. Niall was warned that what he was doing was not within the rules or what had been said in the briefing so we had no other choice than to act accordingly when he never listened to what we said more than once on the start line. Niall took his chances and it didn't pay off, simple. EDC does not run a 'favourites' judging system and any cause for complaint is listened to and acted on appropriately and in a professional manner. Sometimes things do go unseen even to the judge(s) and the operations team but hey that just the 1% of human error built into all of us but rest assured we have a conversation over the radio before making any/all decisions and if its not clear cut then we have to let it slide, this is whats fairness is all about surely.

Anyway enough of the second guessing, this event was superb, and as usual Silverstone proved itself to be the toughest Drift competition track in Europe for driver and vehicle with all the guys competing even from the friday deserving a pat on the back for having the balls to take this circuit on, like I said this place is awesome and is a place where only the toughest drivers and cars can play. A few of the supposed 'top' drivers from within the European scene it seems avoided coming to Silverstone and for good reason because as mentioned earlier the circuit is a killer, the competition/driver skill is tough and the judging is fair, so hats off to all the drivers who entered for putting on an absolutely superb show and as said having the balls to compete in the toughest competition in Europe.

The event says it all so I'm done..................
