its an old question thats been gome over many time in here but the bike helmets and cmotorsport helmets are designed to withstand differant types of impact - for motorsport they may get many repeated smaller impacts rather than one tarmac headbut.
there are other differences as well
as for ACU gold - one its purely a bike test and therefore not relevant to motorsport for the reason above
secondly there are actually at least three ACU gold labels .... which mean different things appently I believe that the number of gold rings round the outside of the label vary but i have yet to find anyone that knows what the types actually are.
and thirdly - very carefully worded

ACU Gold stickers can be applied to helmets that are suitable for BIKE motorsport and not CAR motorsport therefore as a indication of suitability for drifting they are useless as the helmet may be ok but may not ..... if an ACU gold and a relevent sticker are there then the helmet is fine but definately not with just an gold or a gold with a EC 2205 sticker
