The day I ask a question, I get snowed under at work

Lots of interesting ideas, it's a difficult arguement! Again, one of those things thats only answered with trial and error!
I wonder if the "rev range" thing is more myth than problem, I mean in a petrol you're still only using say 4000-7000rpm, whereas I suppose I'd use 1500-3500rpm for example!

| T.K There are a few (zim zimmer powered) derv Omegas skidding in Scandanavia. They run massive truck turbos.

I figured I'd have a go at fitting a holset VNT. Wonder if it could help to utilise the rev range I would have better!

| Slidewaysdrifter john with the above car said it is a little better if he drives it normally but he also says that around town and cruising the car is not boosting at all now as it later in the rev range but when its being driven hard its poor, as in he says worse than the petrol equivalent and he loses all the benefits he bought it for in the first place and the engine is ubber heavy to boot and has massive understeer problems

That puts me off alot as I might aswell buy a 320i if my advantages are outweighed!
Anyway, if I buy it I can sell it! A welded diff, set of springs and a bleed valve aren't gonna break the bank, quite honestly I'm not sure I can lose, and besides, I may even get lucky and make something of it!
