| If they run a T25 standard couldn't you do a cheap swap to a T28 to run a bit more/have more at the top end.
Granted diesels don't rev that high but surely its going to be more the gearing, and as they make massive torque at low rpm's you'll probably still have the equivalent pull from x speed to y speed as a petrol.
Only diesels i've driven have been a Ford Galaxy 2L tdci, 110bhp, 2000rpm pulled strong, by 3000rpm it was all over and also driven a Volvo D5 2.4 straight 5 163bhp, so so much better, pulls from below 2k to 4.5k fairly linear |
