| Just to come back to this. I spent quite a while at Autosport yesterday weighing up what to buy. I've decided to go for a Sparco Sprint 2 Layer suit, Sparco shoes and gloves too. Along with the helmet I got yesterday it comes to about £415. Now considering thats ALL FIA approved thats not too bad a price really. All from Peter Lloyd BTW.
I chose to go with FIA because theres always the possibility of BDC/EDC changing the regs in the next few years to include mandatory FIA equipment. Also if by some miracle I make it up to EDC level [plus with EDC travelling to Europe this year] then I won't have to go and buy another suit.
The second reason I went for FIA approved stuff is that I realised all this stuff is, in one way or another, there to save your life/skin. Its really not worth skimping on. Buy cheaper wheels, don't fit that expensive bodykit, sell your ass if needs be but I wouldn't comprimise on safety. |
