I chose to go with FIA because theres always the possibility of BDC/EDC changing the regs in the next few years to include mandatory FIA equipment. Also if by some miracle I make it up to EDC level [plus with EDC travelling to Europe this year] then I won't have to go and buy another suit.

The second reason I went for FIA approved stuff is that I realised all this stuff is, in one way or another, there to save your life/skin. Its really not worth skimping on. Buy cheaper wheels, don't fit that expensive bodykit, sell your ass if needs be but I wouldn't comprimise on safety.
