my dad is currnetly building something similar too called a Gartrac which is a rwd mk3 escort but his will have a 24v cosworth TT or supercharged unsure yet  |
Thats what I was looking for on google but gave up and searched RS1700T instead, My parents house is about 5 minutes down the road from gartrac. They used to do a lot of AE86 stuff to.
As well as the Gartrac RWD escorts (there was an unfinished one on ebay recently) there was also a company called Genesis that used to convert them. One of the guys on the turbosport forum used to bring one to the north weald days and drift it.
I was never really fussed about MK3 escorts but they kinda grew on me when I saw the RWD conversions, and now they are 'retro cool' hahaha.
