| I'm not sure that there have been any personal attacks on Aton, its more of a case of "Nice idea mate, shame it wont work". Its nice to see someone trying, but it would be rude of people to say nothing and let the bloke waste his time.
If we're to be proved wrong we'd need to see the calculations to support the theory. Its relatively easy to calculate the amount of fuel required to generate the energy to create 50bhp at the wheels (factoring in drivetrain, engine heat and frictional losses) as it is also relatively easy to calculate the amount of energy to split enough hydrogen off to create the fuel.
From there its a simple matter of comparing the two values, factoring in the additional load on the engine required to generate the electricity for the electrolysis to see that they dont add up.
If this stuff worked it would be used in ships and submarines where water is plentiful and the self-created hydrogen oxygen gases would provide a self-fuelling propulsion mechanism. For some strange reason they use Nuclear reactors to drive steam turbines.
Solid scientific theory is proven by peer review, what has happened here is as nothing compared to a 'proper' scientific debate. |
