As we were let down with the ARP head bolts not arriving today as they should have, we had a bit of time, and I made the decission to fit the 256/264 cams along with the uprated valve springs and retainers I bought for the 'built' engine...
We removed all the valves, and lapped them in. Most of them were pretty crusty, and as suspected cylinder number four had some deposits..
And while we were there, we checked out the port matching, and were absolutely shocked how bad it was.. I've marked it in white chalk pen here.. It will be ground back tomorrow when I get a decent milling bit..
