SR20DET, (Singer Rebuild) Built after Nissan Japan struck a long lasting partnership with Singer Corporation to supply components for its new powerplant found in models such as PS13 Silvia/180SX S14/S14A Silvia etc.
Singer were commissioned to supply primarily "Rocker Arms" amongst other minor components.

It was later realised that the "Cam on bucket" valvetrain, as found in the CA18DET Engine was far superior, yet the deal had been done and the inferior engine was forced into production, much to the dismay of drivers around the world
