E28's are fricking sweet. I agree with mike in that mine and bons felt a little nose heavy, the way it turned in was... Odd, felt like the back was rolling over the front, but it was AMAZZZING. Really good fun, plenty of power (528) and took a beating too. Lots of lock standard too.
I say do it. The E28 i had was probably my favourite BM ive had, including my M3 (cus its too nice to wreck, the E28 was a proper missile that didnt need looking after!).
Get one, weld it, get some decent suspension and bushes and try to sort out the camber issues and go have some fun!

My E34 was sweet but did like to push its nose wide when driving fast.. Probably the bad tyres didnt help!
