Well,
With the S14.5 gone to Norway i had to buy a stand in car to get my buy untill the S15 is ready to rock and roll. With a limited budget and high requirements i started to scower the net (ebay and driftworks mainly) to see if i could find anything that fitted the bill. I needed something that would conform to BDC Pro spec and that had enough bits for me to work with to make it into a good solid car...
I looked at a lot of different options before eventually settling on this:
nissan silvia ps13 drift car for sale
Now admittedly the pictures didn't do it much justice but i took a leap of faith and after talking to Lewis the previous owner at some length we aranged to get it delivered up here and i wired him some cash (bit of a leap of faith i know) I sent my new trailer bitch Hudson down to pick it up and he promptly dropped it of at the workshop this afternoon.
It looked like this:
At home i had some goodies delivered thanks to my good friends at Rare Rims and EP Racing
Quickly myself, polo and our mystery sidekick (cough douggy cough) realised that the arches on the car had not actually simply been rolled, but they were full of filler and generally a bit nasty... Sooo it was time for a bit of bizzlification.
Testing the over fenders (you can see how much they added to the arch in japan!
Removing the arch extensions...
New over fender rivited on and fitted (Stirling work again by Mr Polo)
We then went on to stip the car right back, removed all the body kit and lights to get ready for paint tomorrow
Apex Performance Parts are going to be sending me all the remaining bits we need to get this "up to spec" including one of there bloody badical alloy radiators (very cool bits of kit) also will be the injectors and a hydro so BIG thanks to them
Car's going to be on track doing the Driftworks Japfest Demo next weekend and we have a lot to do! So watch this space!!
