Still not fully sure, thought it was an oil fire at first but as I have stripped it down not much evidence.
I think it is the first time the car has been driven flat out on the limiter in 3rd/4th for such a long period and the turbo/exhaust went super hot.
The paint on the block has burnt off, all the wireing has burnt, all vac hoses have burnt, bulk head water pipes have burnt, underseal on wheel arch and floor have burnt, flexi brake pipe has melted, you name it it has burnt !
I have moved all wireing, water/vac pipes well away from turbo/exhaust, got rid of all underseal and fire proofed the body.
Makeing better heat shields for the turbo, heat wraped the exhaust further back.
