Piece of piss. The inside rear wheel will skip at less than 20 mph, parallel parking is a made slightly trickier (but negligable (sp?) really, I parallel parked backwards down a steep hill with a welded diff the other day and had zero problems).
Tyre and bush wear is increased slightly etc etc etc. But sh*t mate, you're drifting, what do you expect? lol
Just get it done and stop being a pansy.
Rx7 - expensive to fix when broke. BMW - cheap to buy, cheap to fix. Rx7 - more fun. BMW - guaranteed good starting point.
Plus's and minus's on both cars. Both cars are used at competition levels etc, BMW might well be better to start in tbh. Get a E36 325 DIRT cheap, wreck it around, learn to drift properly, kill it, flog it, buy RX7 and get drifting well!
*edit* and learn to use the search button, it'll save you a lot of grief
