Nothing wrong with it, ive driven tons of cars with dog boxes, its how they drive.
Drive it hard and smash it through the gears and its piece of piss, upchanges are piece of piss as long as you firm, but unlike a syncro box where you can do what the hell you like, with a dog box you got to rev match to get downchanges right, and if you change gear slowly, like 99% of people do, they will crunch.
Drive any dog box on any car, even sequentials, like most drive a syncro box and it will crunch and graunch all the time and kill it pretty quick.
No problem as long as you know how to drive one though.
