Tonight with the help of my good friend Aaron
, we got the brakes assembled and bled. The handbrake is also functional again with only a few clicks to engage.
put on and cleaned the 16" imolas - my cheap alpina substitute till bbs are done !
secured oil cooler in place (temp zip tie styleee !)
I went to fit prop shaft but it seems the centre bearing/support bit will not bolt up. the holes are wider on the "2.5 manual" bracket.
there are different types I take it ? I can only guess the 4 pot shaft has a different bracket.
guess what !
I dont have the old one any more.
I would rather swap the part than hack things about and modify (but if thats what it takes I will do)...
Anyway
the scorpion exhaust has been tig welded because the box had a crack on the end which is strange cos it looks of good quality and not very old ??? maybe took a whack !
The steering column is a BIAAAAAATCH to change (grrrr shear bolts !
) and I ended up grinding the |____| shaped bracket with the 4 bloody bolts in. Have to fabricate a new one now but that wont be hard.
note to self - STOP LOSING KEYS !!! lol
