Any new regs for 2015 yet? Im asking as I saw this ''Another exciting build that will be competing in the 2015 British Drift Championship: Team JapSpeed's new VH45 powered 370Z'' on your facebook page and the shell prep does not comply with current or previous regulations, so do they already have a copy of new regs?
What are these small tweeks you speak of? There are no regs at all on the site now, so imagine they are being rewritten, the problem I had with the Japspeed build is in this thread http://www.driftworks.com/forum/dri...30647-team-japspeed-vh45-nissan-z34-370z.html
2014 regs Vehicle Body 3. The original OEM floorpan, frame and or unibody/monocoque must remain unmodified between the vertical planes created by the original forward most and rear ward most suspension or subframe mounting point. Pics below show contravention of the above http://www.japspeed.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/DSC90412.jpg http://www.japspeed.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/DSC7386.jpg http://www.japspeed.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/DSC5656.jpg Suspension 9.1 All original suspension mounting tabs must remain in the original position. NO cutting, welding, bending, drilling or modifications of any kind will be allowed including subframe bushing to chassis mounts. Quote below contravenes ''The rear diff bushes don't feature an upper collar so as to raise the subframe 15mm and press it right up against the underside of the car. This will help to keep the roll centre and suspension arm angles in check when we slam the car.'' http://www.japspeed.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/DSC8070.jpg
They are the regs, they own the championship so their car will always comply. And while everyone on here and Facebook continues to wank them off they will continue to do the same. One of the reasons I will never spend my hard earned competing the bdc.
I have a question AND YES I HAVE ASKED THE BDC but no reply, We are building a car and we will be using this cage. It is a proper race car cage , Fully MSA and FIA approved. My issue is the BDC regs say i have to add Gussets to the cross door bars. !!!! WHY ! If we do that to this FIA approved cage it will no longer be FIA approved as it is modified. Can someone from the BDC reply to this or my email explaining why they insist on this ? BMW E36 + M3 2 Door Multipoint Roll Cage - Custom Cages Ltd, UK
Another reg overlooked by the scrutineers at the events then, reg 12.20, seem to have seen a window pop out at the weekend due to the paint beneath the sealant being lifted
