i don't really understand all of these different championships and levels ect, it seemed a bit political from what i have been reading on DW.

this seems a good move and just that it has 'british' in the title is a good start.

i wish the organisers and all the competiters the very best of luck for 2008, i hope it goes well for everybody.

This sounds fantastic.

Adam - they are just collaborating the two, as it has unofficially been anyway. Now Eurodrift (now known as BDC) will OFFICIALLY be the feeder series for the EDC, and it makes it more clear with the structure of it all. Hopefully some license info will help clear up any last questions people may have.

Can't wait to be a part of it, I think my first competitive season couldn't have come at a better time.

It is unfair that a driver who has experience at far higher speeds and demands then goes back down a level just to show off, extend their exposure or whatever which then effectively makes a mokery out of the second highest level championship in england. No one was going to beat James this year, no one would get into the top three places if brett and phil decided to join in as well, the whole point is that the drivers who have progressed through the amatuer ranks then have a new challenge to prepare themselves for EDC and it should be a fair fight and one which they have a chance of winning which would then see them with opportunities of EDC licences and so on.

Excellent news. And right too.

Its easy, the 2 mainland UK series are:

European Drift Championship is for Pro Level drivers only, and last year had rounds in England & Scotland, but had drivers from other european countries compete.

British Drift Championship
is for Amateurs/Semi-Pro drivers

Congratulations to the guys within the British Drift Championship for pulling this together.

Terry has done a great job with this over the past few years and its great to see it progressing to the next level(s), well done Tel.

BDC will receive support from EDC wherever it is possible and we look forward to working together to produce a structure others can only dream of. The future is definetly bright for the competitors and spectators with the extreme Drift action coming in 2008 for GB and Europe.

Already talks have come a long way and the positives between us show we are a great working team, everyone within BDC and EDC are buzzing about what we are producing and with good reason.

Rock and Roll 2008.

I now can not wait to see all the event listings for 2008... but patient i will be.

Other than BDC and EDC will there be many other drift comps going on, as this year i couldnt really keep up together with it all very well, what with all the promo stuff random events show ect ect.

Thanks to all i am very proud to have the support from the committee and the drift scene overall. this is a very positive step for me and the whole drifting fraternity as they say out of threats come opportunity's a marketing phrase but true. Thanks to all and as one of the committee has said "BRING IT ON"
