Ladies and gents Following on from this thread > BDC Licences ALL DRIVERS must have a licence to compete at a BDC event. Due to the number of cars competing in the BDC in 2008 drivers are judged for licences based on consistency. During qualifying drivers will be expected to complete one practice lap and three judged laps without spinning ! ! ! Qualifying will consist of a total of over 225 laps !!!!! With this in mind, drivers who have paid for round one of the championship and fail to gain a licence on or before March 22nd will recieve a full refund of entry money. The drivers on the reserve list with a licence will be offered these places at the normal prices. There are at the moment 4 oppertunities to get your licences before or on the 22nd March. Please refer to the following threads for details. Teesside dates Silverstone licencing day We are hoping to run one more licencing day at Silverstone and more at Norfolk Arena, Kings Lynn in March, details will be announced if these dates are confirmed. At this time we have no plans to run a licencing day in Scotland. Drivers MUST have a licence on or before March 22nd ! Drivers renewing their licence MUST send photographs Drivers gaining their licences must pay for licences at licencing days All drivers must send photographs via email bdc@live.co.uk Or Post to BDC PO Box 496 Boston PE21 6JX Drivers competing at round one will recieve them when signing on Many thanks The BDC team Last edited by BDC : 17-01-2008 at 13:10.

Last time the qualifying runs were the best 2 out of 3, allowing a spin. This time is it still the 2 best runs count? Or are all 3 runs added together hense spin = fail? Having such a strict rule on spinning in the early qualifying runs would put many off from "going big" favouring a boring but safe run. Seems like it might ruin some of the entertainment.

This is purely stating that this is what will be expected, not a rule. Judging will be the same as last year, 3 judged runs, best 2 will score. Many thanks The BDC team | |

Not in qualifying tho - we want people to be able to go balls-out to entertain the crowd when they're only watching one car. Later in the amateur comp it should be 2 runs, both count (I think, anyway)

Ladies and gents Just to clarify Licencing is being judged on consistency, with the number of drivers competing this season the drivers will be expected to be able to string together a series of good runs. During qualifying at BDC events we will be running the same as Eurodrift 2007. 4 runs 1 practice 3 judged Best 2 scores to count. Many thanks The BDC team. Back on topic please ladies and gents ![]()
