This aint fricking stock cars though, this is bdc where you have to adhere to bdc rules and regs. Not rocket science realy is it. I mean why try and question and complain about rules which have already been decided and have been put into place. If you dont like it, and don't wanna adhere to them frick off. There are plenty of people that are willing to.

Sorry if that seems nasty but i don't see what the fuss is about.

Youre allowed to use the factory mount holes for the rear seats. its not preffered, but its allowed.

And as to the rules etc, well, the D1GB rules became the EDC rules which have now become the BDC rules.
The D1GB rules/regs were put inplace 2 years ago, so its hardly new stuff

I love the way people moan about saftey shit being too expensinve, these always the same people that have spent all there money on body kits and massive wheels....

Don't break my heart, if you can't do it... unlucky, this is one of hte cheapest forms of motorsport, if you you want to keep your car to road spec, then stick to the road, if you want to come to track, then prep your car.

In short get used to it, as drifting gets bigger there will be more rules and it will get more expesive, simple as.

LOL. Im with you Rich! !!!

makes my car seem more and more of a bargain with all this whinging going on about safety etc.
I dont think people realise how much it costs to get up to 'spec'.
I reckon I spent £1000 last year getting the car up to saftey stds accepted by EDC.

In rallying, you buy all your saftey shit first... then you think about powers and brakes

Saftey first, always.

Really?

Mine was along the lines of (all IIRC):
Cage: £550
Powdercoating: £100
Fitting mounts: £80
FIA Harness: £100
Fire Ext: £100
Pull cables and Batt cut out switch: £40
Cage Padding: £65
Battery Reloc: £25 (I had some cable from a Rear engined/front batteried car here )
Gloves and boots: £100? (Cant remember)

Hmmm, well over £1k!

Luckily I already had the FIA seat (Sparco Pro2000, suitable helmet and balaclava)

He`s one of the people that helped make the good things in eurodrift happen late last season, so he really can say that

And he is quite smart compared to the people willing to skimp on safety things.

How do you mean? I quoted the bit aimed at me.

Either way im bored of this discussion.

We have already established that people who dont buy FIA padding need to frick Off.

Like I said 300 posts ago I will buy the FIA padding but still think the rally design padding is more than adequate.

polo its any part of the cage 15cm from ur body meaning legs and arms too. Cost me £100 to cover my cage it looks like a kids play area but its worth it in the end.

That was aimed at no one, i was stereotyping i've never seen your car or its spec, so i can't comment, but i don't do sly comments about people indirectly if i was digging you, you would know about it

I say things as i see them

Nah man, not frick off, just get smart and be safe

Problem is, when people moan about saftey i always come back quite aggressive as you may have noticed, but i have good reason, shit that people are bitching about saved my life a few times, tbh, when shit goes wrong the only money that counts in a car is the shit that stops you from being curshed upside down, broken to bits then burning alive.

Thats your call, but drive like a mad man, and i only do so as i know my car will allow me to walk away.

Clarkey.

Nope. Like I said before I obviously will buy the padding but got my head bitten off for trying to understand why the Rally Design padding can't be used even though it was built for the purpose.

Either way im a bit tired of arguing over the internet about petty things.

At RRP so far -

FIA Seat - £350
FIA harness - £100 [x2]
Cage - £600
Extinguisher - £100
Cut off and cables - £40
Helmet/Gloves/Boots/Suit - £450

So thats getting towards £2k, plus I need tow eyes and padding still. It won't be far off when Im done.
