| It would help if the Fabricage joints werent so shit - the cusco ones were within the diameter of the tubes, therefore presented no sharp edge hazard and could be padded easily. Regs state 'fire resistant padding within 150mm of occupants' helmets', so thats where I'll be putting mine. Quite simple really, lol. |

| Guys The rules state that any area within 150mm of the drivers helmet must be protected with padding. Its that simple, ok, the remainder, i can tell you from personal experience that for your own safety i/we/any driver that has had an accident will tell you the following "Cover any part of the car that your arms/legs/head can hit when involved in an accident as they hurt!" I Rolled a car with what i thought was enough padding in the right places, how wrong was I! I rolled a car after hitting a 12inch diameter wooden post that did not move, the car had a multipoint rollcage and i was fastened in with a 4 point harness so tight i could hardly breath. I hit my right leg on the rollcage foot and steering column, my left knee on the dash board, my right arm broke the window webbing on the drivers side window that was there to keep it inside the car, my left arm hit the main rollcage hoop above and behind my head, i had bruises on both shoulders from the seat belts. Trust me it hurts ! For quite sometime ! With this in mind do you wish to save £10/£20/£30 rather than spending it on that extra bit of padding ? Yeah right... Just my 2 pence worth ![]() |
