I think I can grab an hour or two of practice if I leave work on time and drive like my hair is on fire.

Ladies and gents

We have had confirmation that there are at least another 5- 10 cars to add to the list.

With over 30 + drift cars there will be no room for support vehicles.

With this in mind we are making the pits a drift car only zone on Friday!

That means no trailers, no vans, no tow vehicles, no road cars in the pits ONLY DRIFT CARS PRACTICING!

The track will not open until all support vehicles are removed from the pits.

We cannot be responsible for your equipment!

Your service vehicle is only a walk away so keep what you have in the pits to a minimum.

If you are prepared, that means spare wheels with tyres fitted, a jack, wheel brace and tie wraps.

You will have 10 minutes to unload your car and vacate the pits with your support vehicle(s).

We can also confirm the very basic timetable;

Drivers briefing will at 1700 - as soon as the breifing is over the track will be open.

It will be open practice however we will be limiting the number of cars on track at one time.

Here is the basic layout for the evening.

Many thanks

The BDC team.

Shame we cant just go out and nail the big track round and round a la any other practise night but it makes sense to practise the track we're using for the finals

One problem now is the noise monitor. Its opposite the pits on the long back straight/ exit of the corner from the pits. So full track drifting now looks to be very limited. Thank our local council for that.

Sweeps I can be down early to sort out parking if you want at the start. Also bring the 4i down for some fun, Want a drive ?

oh, boo. i guess that was the only way to fit 30+ cars in though.

EDIT: no full track ever you reckon rob? thats basically the worst news ever.

Very limited. Its the bend that passes the monitor thats the main problem. The NYE drift session sent the thing nuts when we had about 14 cars on track.

Somebody cover the noise monitor in tape or something!! Is that the case re full track drifting? I'd be so gutted I'm itching to crack that long 3rd gear bit in front of the pits.

Surely a track full of go-karts make more noise than 9-10 cars? Surely?
