Falken Tyres to be series sponsor of the British Drift Championship

The British Drift Championship would like to announce that we have secured an additional sponsor for the 2008 season.

It is with great pleasure that the British Drift Championship welcomes Falken Tyres as the series sponsor for the 2008 series. We believe that the involvement in British drifting of this progressive and pioneering company with a great motorsport reputation demonstrates how far the sport has come in the UK. The drift revolution is upon us and we're proud to be at the heart of it with Falken Tyres.

It was announced today that Falken tyres are to sponsor the 2008 season of the British Drift Championship.
The series offers competitors the opportunity to partake in one of the largest growing motor sport activities sweeping Europe at an entry level.
Already hugely popular in Japan and the United States and featured in a Hollywood blockbuster the sport is set to take the UK by storm.

Jon Limmer, Falken Brand Manager, commented “Falken are so pleased to have this exciting opportunity to be involved in grass roots motor sports in the UK. Falken has a huge following in the drift community worldwide and we are delighted to be able to offer our support to the BDC team”.

Pleeeeease let there be a cheap tyre deal for us. Part worn freebies may be OK for the back of the skid car, but I still need decent tyres on the front, and on the rest of the Muppet fleet (535's rears have gone mysteriously bald in the last month).

I think this is more of a sponsorship towards running the events than sponsoring the competitors.

Excellent news regardless as it will help improve BDC.

No tyre tokens

Falken sponserd are race car series and all the drivers got tyre tokens, i.e discount slips.

Oh, great new BTW!

Think there a great trye and cheap too, 225/40 18" under £60 you cant go rong!

As above, would be really good to see some nice tyre discounts for drivers. Surely the biggest advertisement for them would be having a series full of cars using their tyres?
