| Hi, got a related question so thought I'd tag onto this thread ![]() I'm getting fia approved seats, but have a question about the mounts. it says in the regs... * * 4-6. (PRO-AM) Vehicles must have FIA approved racing seat for the driver and does not have to be in date but must be in good condition. i.e. not showing any signs of stress, cracks or damage to the structure of the seat and Fixed using a minimum of four 8mm bolts (ISO 8.8) and 5 sq inch spreader plates. now i assume that the car (s14a) has extra support around the standard seat mount points, so would it be acceptable to use the DW super low side mount subframes (with handy slide rails) or must the seat be bolted directly to the floor in order to be approved for bdc pro? (i don't even have the am licence yet by the way, but i'm ambitious and don't want to buy the subframes if i'll eventually have to remove them due to not being approved. also, no point in getting approved seats if the subframes aren't approved!)thanks for any advice ![]() |
