| Cracking weekend. After most of Friday and saturday morning in the dry the heavens opened up right at the start of qualifiers. I was feeling pretty strong in the dry but had a complete talent loss in the wet and couldn't get it together on time. I think I was 19th out of 30 or something. Friday practice was amazing and really made the weekend. I love that big track, its so fast. Definately the best drift session I've ever had. The slower west track I found tricky, I eventually sussed it in the dry but couldn't crack it in the wet Need to get to some more practice up there and work it a bit. I don't remember having issues on it with my s13 on new years but I wasn't working to any particular line then so maybe thats why.I didn't see many of the Am qualifiers as I was driving but when the pros came on I realised why they were pros and I was Am! the way they could keep it together in any conditions was very impressive for me. Many of them were attacking the big track in the wet in a way I'd be happy with in the dry. I really thought there were going to be big crashus as the pressure built but everyone seemed to keep level headed. Its really given me an eye opener of higher level drifting and something to aim for in the future. You don't really get a chance to see the pro level guys doing their stuff at the usual practice events as the areas are so small so seeing them in action on a good size track was very inspiring. I can't wait to see some videos and pictures ![]() |
