No, they were against the wood fence near the big drain. They were still there when I left - I would have done something with them but my car was full with my own stuff.

WELL ALL I CAN SAY IS WICKED (but i gonna say more coz i never shut up)
I enjoyed it as much as a spectator as i did competing. (of which i was from 4pm coz i didnt make top 8)
AND despite looking like a little boy go-karter in my suit (which i borrowed from the track) and ending up looking like a drowned rat, it was well worth it BRING ON ROUND 2 , those of you that know me, know i will be at every practice day Smith lets me take off work til then.

I am sorry to the reserve place i took but well worth the £200 pound fuel to get there and back.

Can only say well organized to BDC (coz there is far too many to name and wouldnt wanna offend anyone leaving them out) it flowed like clockwork, watching the qualifying was so well coached as each car came round as there was one going out of site so despite the wind, the tiny bits of snow and couple of hail stones up there it was a pleasure to watch.

BIG UP ESP TO MARSHALLS

Judges rules SUCK cos you cant even bribe em now days

EVEN IF YOU TRY

PS I Love LEX

Thank's to James Hudson for getting me there, nice one dude!!

And thank's to everyone who gave any sort of help they could in helping me with the trouble's i had and getting me back on the track.

Without you people i would'nt have made it to 2nd place, really appreciate all your help and i only hope i can return the favour

exactly the same as all comments above..

everyone (those with cars actually working ) had masses of tracktime, marshalling, judging, security on gates, organising, the lot all spot on.

some awesome driving in the horrendus weather.. props to those guys..

like polo said, we had tons of tyres to clear, all the team green team, and crew, K-drift were taking waht we could, but even then an ample stack of 15 odd were still found.

after talking with organisers and the track owner he mentioned how he could very easily cancel round 4.

SORT IT OUT.

dont let us loose easily one of the best uk drift venues.

Can't believe people left tyres there after we were told on numerous occasions not to do it...

Holy shit thats bad, as tricky as it is, maybe have a marshall on the door making a tally of people's tyres as they come in?

That place was easily the best I've ever skidded at, and I certainly plan to do it again. Pick up your shit fellas, its not a hard concept really.

Find out tyre sizes, narrow down where they were in the pits, find out who was there. We packed up early since my car was dead, and made sure we left no litter either even though it was horrid picking up bits and bobs from the floor in the pissing rain

Can't say I saw any tyres when we headed off at circa 9pm, hopefully it doesn't happen again and big props to those who tidied up

Ladies and gents

Thank you for your comments both good and bad.

The PA system, rain + electrics don't mix. This problem will be dealt with by round 2.

Security, wrist bands were issued to drivers, mechanics, guests sponsors etc, if like most people jackets were being worn then how you would know they had wristbands on with out asking to see them we don't know.

The BDC team did say in an email that we would do everything in our power to ensure the pits were secure but the ultimate reasonability lays with the drivers and crews. There will always be people who manage to gain access. Judging by the majority of feedback the security was more than sufficient.

The issue of the pit entry/exit being closed at 4pm, due to the circumstances of the weather etc we have to make decisions that may differ from what was announced. This is known as being prepared to alter things as required and being flexible.

There are a few other issues which have come to our attention since the end of the event, upon returning to the venue on Sunday morning to remove the BDC equipment; we were very disappointed to find used tyres in the pits. It was stated in the drivers’ briefings that all tyres were to be removed from the venue by the drivers. The BDC team then had to negotiate with Teesside Autodrome to dispose of these tyres. Teesside Autodrome is one of, if not the best venue for the BDC, to think that drivers are prepared to risk this by not doing as they are told is totally unexceptable!

With this in mind the BDC team will be having a meeting to discuss this matter further and decide on what actions need to be taken to prevent this happening at venues throughout the remainder of the season. This may mean a driver being suspended from competing or if necessary we increase the entry fee to cover the cost of disposal.

The BDC team would like to thank Alex of K-Drift and Team Green for removing the majority of the tyres from the venue, thank you very much!

Many thanks

The BDC team.

As has been said try and narrow down the tyre siezs etc etc as much as can be done. I know its a lot of effort but whoever has left there tyres should be ashamed and should be at least banned if there ever found out. As mike has said when we loaded up my van with all mikes tyres/gear from the pits we also picked up any litter that was around our area in the pooring round.

Well done alex/team green for clearing up the left over tyres.

Hope the people who left the tyres are found and shot.

Perhaps someone could count the amount of wheels/tyres each driver has whilst entering, and then doing a stock check when they leave?

Sounds like a good idea, but some of the tyre guys sell them so people buying more at the event could cause issues.
