| A weekend from a bizzle's perspective... Wow, It's taken me untill monday evening to gather all my thoughts together and coherantly sit down and write something about Round Two. What a fricking awsome weekend it was. I can't fault it. At all. The orgonisation was spot on, the timing was spot on, Stiggy and Sweeps were stupendiously good at entertaining the crowed which had an atosphere that i have NEVER seen at any drift event i have attended in the UK or anywhere else in Europe. Yet again for a second event running we had bolock loads of practice time which we all used to learn the track and have a whole barrel full of fun on. 100% honest truth this was the best drift event i have ever attended in or compeated in. So how did the event go for me? Well unfortunatly half way through morning practice my car developed an oil leak that we couldn't seem to trace. We thought it was the turbo oil return hose, but after a lot of changing and bodging we still couldn't seem to fix it. Darn thing lost 3 litres of oil during three laps. So i made the hard decision of parking it up. Phil or FlikstRR then came to my rescue with his Yoshi S14! Which he very very kindly let me use for qualifying! Unfortunatly, i wasn't exactly used to his car and had to jump right into qualifying without ever having driven it before! I span on the first lap (practice) and found out a few of the cars little charictoristic features and then did three half decent qualifying runs and qualified 13th (i think) Not bad for a car i had never driven before i thought I then drew Shane Lynch in the top 16 and after a swift speaking to from Phil which went something along the lines of "If you need to hit him, then just fricking go for it" Which i took onboard (and felt quite guilty about) we were out on track for one of the best bits of driving i have ever done. All in all, bloody brilliant event. Massive thanks to the whole BDC team and Phil for lending me his car. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Mr Bizzle : 28-04-2008 at 19:54. |

| dorifto kingu! ![]() | im hardly a gentleman lol, was just helping a mate out who i could tell was throughly gutted. I was in the crowd watching and surprised myself by watching the shane battle and just grinning ear to ear lol. whats a bit of cracked aero between freinds eh. ![]() Cheers for comments Ian, after the dissapointment of round 1 due to the broken car and frankly my mindset being totally wrong i failed misserably.. coming to this round tho and just going for it, i was more than happy with my result. Chris helped me to chill so much i even ended up having FUN in my top 8 runs rather than a nervous wreck lol ![]() just hope i can sort the 'characteristics' as chris put it before round 3 lol Last edited by FlikstRR : 28-04-2008 at 21:58. |
