Thats presuming 100% of the cars are 100% reliable, theres no hard crashes and none of the drivers have any other issues in their lives that might prevent them making a round even though theyve prepaid for it.

Apart from that youre bang on, useless!

What about this other guy?? is he off the same time as you?? if so can't you tell him how important it is to you and see if he would swap?

If not I really hate to say it but I really think if BDC have limited spaces then they should give it to people that can commit, but that's my opinion and I don't run BDC lol.
If your not going to be competitive wouldn't you rather use your money for practice days?

The other guy is my boss and is not a mechanic, we look after 5 race cars so need all the hands we can get, we both go to all the races.

practice days are wank! I didnt say i im not going to be competitive, just not a big player i.e top 5.

Will be at each one same as last year, it would suck spending money on the car and not getting a place.

I think a rolling reserve list is the best solution really.

If u miss one due to ..... whatever really, u go to the bottom of the list, unless its something like mechanical failure on the way to the round (covering my ass cos they are some long journeys )

seems the fairest in my head.

This thread has not gone competely off topic.

The original topic was to annouce the dates & locations of the events of The British Drift Championship 2009 and for us all to look forward to another fantactic year for drifting within the UK.

If there are any questions regarding any other issues please do not hesitate to contact the BDC by email or private message.

Polo - not trying to say you shouldn't compete, but think about it this way, if I got in for round 1 and butted you out, then you'd be gutted, assuming I couldn't make round 2 and you could, mint, same for round 3, you're getting into things now. But now I can make round 4 and 5 so I come back and kick you out again. Bit shit isn't it really?

In other news, I can't afford to spunk £500 in one hit to compete this year else I would, but I 100% will be attending every round unless I get killed etc, does this mean I have to be refreshing DW every second after the previous round with a hundred quid or so ready to fire it at the BDC? Else some randomer snipes my place? I liked how it worked last year with the competitors in say, round 1, get a couple of days to pay before it's opened up to the reserve list.

Hello Mike

The BDC has spoken to Paul and the situation has been addressed. Thank you for your input but that topic has now been dealt with.

We will be operating the same entry rules as in 2008, drivers from round 1 will be given priority booking for round 2 and so on throughout the season.

Many thanks

The BDC team.

Great stuff, glad Polo's sorted, I'll stop flogging a seemingly dead donkey. I'm out to go and sell my arse to try and pay for the whole season up front.

will there be any priorities given to anyone for round 1?
Maybe like, those who attended all rounds, then those who attended most, then new licencees, then anyone left?
or is it first come first served?

The British Drift Championship 2009.

Round 4 - 29/30/31st August - Norfolk Arena King Lynn (3 day drift extravaganza)

The smallest, but the most technical track on the BDC calendar will see drivers given more practice than has ever been known at a UK drift event. Battling inside the purpose built oval will generate an electric atmosphere with enthusiastic crowds just metres from the action. This event will offer three days of drift action. Friday will see the track open to all competing drivers as a full day of practice, Saturday will see the BDC Series Round 4 drivers battling it out in front of the always excitable audience. The Sunday will play host to the BDC Team Championship - with close battles and team twin drifting, it will be another fantastic day!

Could someone at BDC please clear a small point up for me.
It states above 29/30/31st August but then lists the days as Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
No mention of anything for Monday 31st ?????
Booking hotel so would like to know what dates if possible

Cheers for any light on this
