Got an s14a and have changed the pump , i was told dextro 2 or 3 is what i need ,i went into euro car parts and he told me this was what they listed for it will this be ok ? TRIPLE QX ATF Plus Transmission Fluid 1 Litre
Atf= automatic transmission fluid. Don't know why he told you to out that in your power steering system but it ain't right
Yer i know the s14 does take that atf for power steering but im just wondering if the one iv posted a link to would be alright , normal power steering fluid dont go well with them from what iv seen , been told
you sure about that ikeaaxel? i guess not. You are supposed to use ATF Dexron III fluid, and i dont know about your stuff there as i cant read "atf dex III" anywhere so personally i'd stay away from it. Choose a brand you feel most comfy with as always.
Cheers yer i got given it in euros but im just really unsure on it as i was told atf dexron 2 or 3 also the stuff i got given says dexron 5 on it just want to make sure i can use it before i put it in , if not il take it back and get some dexron 3
I heard about ATF being suggested for power steering by parts shops before on other cars too. I suppose the 2 fluids/oils have a lot in common.
