The bit I cant get with that is that the battery is still connected to the fuse box. Maybe by taking the alternator off-line and breaking the circuit to ground will do what they want it to.

well not much to show for 3 days hard graft, the instruments wiring has been a royal pain in the ass.

also ran the car up with the new cooling system layout...all works fine, but i need a small adaptor for the radiator union as it fouls the bonnet, also made a temporary fix for the coolant overflow from the coolant header tank....

this afternoon went on a bit of a Jaunt on the Training area near my house, and just happened to stumble upon an old Lynx Military Helicopter, so liberated it of some of its wiring products!!

tomorrow will get the tacho up and running...hopefully, then start tidying up all the wiring......maybe

also need to fit the isolator cut off switch, and the fire extinguisher pull handle....then i can cover the centre console switch panel

fking tacho isnt working right..........grrrrrrrr

think im just going to do away with this dam autometer one and go for something a little easier to plumb in

frick, just been studying the wire diagrams for about 3 hours and think i know why......ive connected the tacho signal adaptor in at the wrong place........on the coil igniter

brill, all the bloody heatshrink to remove again....

i hate...electrics

WOOHOO.

sorted the tacho.....at the end of the day, sometimes its better to ignore what the "experts" say and go with gut feeling....and a bit of re-wireing, it wasnt wired in the wrong place!, but
typically Yank electronics dont work with Import electronics
