Thanks to Oli and tony who have been down and give me a helping hand over the weekend, sometimes 2 minds are just better than one........especially at 02:30am....eh, oli

anyway...update

Removed the TRD cage, this has been sold to Lexus boy....what a pain in the ass it was, id obviously put it in far to well.

Removed the 4" thick wierd rubber sound insulation crap from the rear wheel arches........i found in the end it was easier to set fire to it...and let it burn its way around

Once it was all off......a layer of paint

and the boot area

removed the rear subframe, in preperation of fitting the Kaaz 2 way and doing some structural work on the subframe itself......

Made up the mounts and the brackets for the Tilton pedal box.....another truely arse job, .....

as a result of where the pedal box sits ive had to move the seating further back, this will have a possitive effect on the "feel" of the car, it also allowed me to mount the seat lower, theres still room to fabricate the cage around the seat....still some welding and required

Hehehe, I've got the exact same steering wheel on order at the moment.. Coming direct from Italy in a week or so!

I'm surprised to see how much stuff you've left on and around the steering column. My column is just an outer tube and the inner column now and it'll be mounted direct to a dash bar in the cage. Theres a lot of heavy duty stuff going on there...I guess you don't want anything to break lol

Nice work with the wheel arches and boot floor. Doesn't it look a hell of a lot better with a coat of paint rather than the gunky mess that's there as standard. I'm liking the grey too but its just not quite bling enough for my tastes

Matt I saw your car at Matchams last year and it had some trick parts fitted then. You must be in search of perfection, it takes a brave sole to strip down a perfectly good car(pimpin car) with the plan of re-building it to a far higher standard The work involved and planning has been top class, hope it all comes together for you,Can't wait to see it this year.. Well done

Tony has your clip..tuther is broken.

well the pedals were a pain.

the reason i kept most of the steering column gadgetry is i wanted to keep the tilt adjust,

it seemed easier to keep the remaining part of the dash bar, and build of that than manufacture all new brackets....and in the case of the pedal box and seat mounts...industrial size is deffo better

dont want any of that shit breaking!

nope its HKS quality m8 :-) no drips where you fit it to the engine, not on the relocation kit, and also not on the cooler. everything is clean

im burning the 1" thick rubber off the rear wheel arches, and WHY... because with it removed i saved a massive 1 kilo.

plus it makes the process of seam welding then painting a whole lot simpler

The HKS cooler that i have doesnt have a filter re-location kit as part of it. There is no requirement, the filter for the Altezza is easy to get to as it is

well today fitted the bracket, to mount the 3 oil pots (brakes and clutch)

also trimmed down the dash and had a go at mounting the Tacho, fuel pressure and fuel guage

also test fitted the HKS oil cooler, as i knew some modifications would be needed, im also going to be using my own welded brackets opposed to the HKS bolted brackets which are pretty minimal
