    Japspeed 2010 Subaru WRX STi

Guys thought we would let you know what we have been upto over the winter with our latest project.

We decided we wanted to have a go at buliding something different and the plan was to build a Hawk Eye Subaru.

Team Mechanic Jamie Morgan was asked if he wanted to build the car and gladly accepted the challenge and it has sure turned out be one of those

The project started last October and we spent the first few weeks gathering parts and planning out the build. The car arrived in November and we used a 2001 Bug Eye shell as the basis.

First job was to completely strip the shell to a bare minimum and get the full cage welded in and this was done by Peter at Fabricage who did an excellent job and turned the car around in 2 days.

The quick way to get rid of the sound deadening

Once we were happy and did not spend too much time on that job it was time to get the cage fitted

    Jamie Hard at work

We decided to do something slightly different in the rear so as to give something nice to look at if you opened the rear doors

    More pics to follow soon

Wasn't expecting this! It will look awesome!
If you spent less time eating free sweets and more time practicing, you'd be Phil Morrison.

Phils in the fortunate position of being Phil Morrison, so he can combine the two, sweets and drifting.

Looks good, nice to see something different!

I do think that scoring in competition should be affected by what your driving. Even just a couple of bonus style points depending on how unusual your car is....
Does get dull seeing an endless procession on samey coupes after all!
