    Cool Minty.Fresh X Project-G Roadster

Just noted iv never made a build up here.. I was starting on the iPhone and cudnt be cheesed.. im going to copy and paste from JDMtas and just sum it all up etc.

BASICALLY! I bought an MX5 UK Spec 1.6 When I had the s15 as a run about, thing was a piece of shit and ended up failing its MOT due rust shortly after I bought it..

    When I got it...

did shit to it.. Like headunit, gearknob, badges, import plates, recess, sleepy eye kit blah blah blah

    Looks 'cleanish' right? Wrong..

well.. i phoned up to find out the state and was asked to come to the garage to see for myself.. A tad hacked off with the previous owner tbfh as i was originally told the sils were fine, turns out he had just fiberglassed them all up.. anyways I'll let the pics do the talking haha

yeh oh yeah dosnt look 'too' bad right?
    wrong..
Where the fiberglass had be removed.. lay ALL OF THIS CANCER!

    and under it..

I explained i dont need it back in a rush - Also that i didnt care what it looked like after as i'll be fully spraying it anyway. but yeah goes to show and i stand by it.
never.. EVER........... EVER.. buy a UK car!

Feked off to Japan for a month and a bit, stuck it in to get welded.. got a fresh MOT..

    Bought this 'stuff'

    4x100 > 4x114.3

    Raybrig Lights

Repaired my aero lip .. but its all changed again

Picked this up thanks to Jay. New boot lid for the Al to custom build a MFC Goose Bill wing.

Un fortunatly, I had a typical Dori Ten 'off' .. hit sheet ice and slide into a massive dirt bank.. was fucking nuts. Thankfully.. this was the only damage.

Bent exhaust.. meh, Al fixed it with a huuuge breaker bar thanks man.
    Then this turned up..

So took the old fan off the rad and fitted to the new one obviously.

    then this turned up..........

which was broken.. and wouldnt fit..

then this arrived at my door..
    Custom MFC Gaitor.. win.

oh yeah - while I was fitting the rad etc I did this..

    and painted..

then i spent the last 4 days in snow doing this...

thanks to Lynch, Scotty, Kyle, TK, Al and Jay for helping me out with this mess..
So while I was busy in just over a foot and a half of snow a nice man turned up at my door with this...

    Wide View mirror

and a HEAP of other random stuff... oh yeah, these showed face too LOVE THEM!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO anyway.. basically, I tried to fit my HSDs and fucking my Lower Control arm.. so just bought another one as I couldnt be arsed pricking about with rust and breaking bolts every time I wanted to work on the car.. sure some will say its no issue.. but when its a daily driver and you have no decent place to work on a car, its a different story.

So, Bought me a red import 1.8. Spec when I got it!

    ANYWAY

we needed to do ALOT of pricking about to get the full lock back for a start...

Bumper was off .. and by the way, this has to possibly be the most fucking over engineered method of fitting a front bumper. Not impressed with the hmm.. I counted 6 bolts underneaf, about 8 in the front grill, 6 in each arch plus 2x screws, 2x support bars, 2x bolts up top and around 6 screws....... I then managed to shave a shed load of weight off of the bumper its self by removing ALL the crap inside it! THERE IS NO POINT MAZDA! JESUS!

In turn.. its now held on with 2 cable ties either side.. and 2 up top. A hell of a lot better now! That was like a 2 hour job on its own.. thanks to Dan and Gav for helping me out on that one.
    SO..

    Looks ok from here?

    Not from here...

I also manged to dent several wings etc and lost alot of paint... I honestly couldnt care.
    FURTHER front bumper modification!

    looks good... dosnt work

Then Al came to help the situation out with MORE rolling to as after Test Flight ALPHA.. I lost half my sidewall due to a fender liner bracket bending its self back out .. just like on the silvia.

    Massive thanks to Al

Test Flight Bravo showed better results... but not perfect

AND>....... after test flight Charlie to work.. its fucking hopeless... so, iv gone to the guys in the know.. CR.net.. these guys know low, so hopefully they can help me out with what to do.. the top of the tyre is rubbing on the inside of the roof of the arch.. AFTER I raised the back driver side up to match the pass.

V8's are easy to fit. Been following this on Nutz. The replies there alone had made the thread pure entertainment, I do still look forward to the compelted article though mate .

Oh and from experience, that front towing eye wont last two minutes when you actually use it

Looks really nice here, but some of the other stages look like your trying waaay too hard to follow every americanised "JDM" trend of the last couple of years all at once
