I miss the old project thread thing so here's me sharing my daily hack with you lot. Not a out and out drift car per se but my daily driver and it skids nicely
Now as some of you may know I've owned this car before however the temptation of shiny wheels got the better of me and I swapped it with Will Gough for a set of Work Eurolines and some other bits and pieces.
ANYWAY to cut a long and uninteresting story short I changed jobs at the start of this year and couldn't think of another daily I'd prefer than my old Mazda RX7, which I'd owned and never really driven.
BUT it was the cleanest UK-Spec FC I'd seen in terms of underneath, it was a good solid shell with a low-ish mileage full service engine and it had a fresh MOT courtesy of Mr Gough.
So after much pestering of Will on here and Facebook I finally persuaded him to part with the car. Sadly during this time it had inherited bright green wheels and the most useless wing mirrors I'd ever driven with. Still, the car had awesome presence and Will had done a top job of tidying the car up, getting it road legal and fitting some shiny new K-sport coilovers, although they are actually pretty crap, as far as suspensionings go.
Took the car straight to the Okishima meet the day after picking it up and it was a HOOT to drive, awesome fun to throw around corners and surprisingly sprightly! The tyres caught a fair bit but that was easily remedied.

Okishima meet got featured on Hellaflush, Speedhunters and various places and the car got a lot of attention so I guess the green wheels weren't so bad. but they still had to go.
After rolling around on white Origin DNA02 17x9.5 +15 for a while i paid Mr Smith of Garage Rippledrift a visit for some arch roller action. Mitchimus Prime from DriftGarage kindly lent me his arch roller so the metal abuse could get underway.
Lined these up - never thought they'd fit.
After a surprisingly small amount of work the new rear wheels were on - SSR Professor SP1 in 18x11 +16 flavor. Tyres are Maxxis 255/35. We even managed to lower the car a bit more at the back too.
Drove the car about a bit and sourced some genuine Ganador wing mirrors from Topi who'd had them for sale for like over a year with no takers. Sorted.
During Will's time with the car he had also fully stripped all the sound deadening and interior (see above). However after a few journies I decided i couldn't live with another stripped interior so the lot went back in, except carpet but I'm saving that job for a rainy day. Will also thankfully did this -
....so rainy days are too much fun at the moment for me to put my carpet back in. I also finally managed to source some JDM Kouki rear lamps and plate holder too so these went on in place of the S4 UK lights and plate.
So heres the spec as she sits now -
