I have bought quite a few cars from this forum in my time, and each time they have pretty much been a shit box. Fed up with rusty, overheating turbo cars Ive decided to give the N/A route a go and build it up myself.... :wack:

Step in one lucky bid on a cheap ass 350Z! Picked this up accidentally (put a cheeky bid in on Ebay not expecting to win) for £5900 - '03 import with 30,000 miles/Km in fair nick!

Well happy with it, everything is straight, rust free and running nice.

It will be kept as a daily, so not planning to compete immediatly in it, just plenty of track/drift days

Drifts really well in standard trim, although can feel its weight (1430Kg). The back end is heavy and really wants to overtake the front when sideways! :smash:

So have collected these parts already,

Driftworks Suzuka seat with bride mounts
    Driftworks CS2's
    Kinetix Alignment arms set
07' (with the bulge :euge:) Carbon bonnet
Japspeed Exhaust (cutting up to make single exit)
    De-cat pipes
    JWT Popcharger
Defi BF Oil and water temp, and oil pressure gauges.

and here is my shopping list come payday :D

    Rota SVN's 18x10
    Carbon rear Hatch
    Lexan rear windows
    Intake plenum spacer
    Abbey Motorsport UpRev tune
Tomei 2 Way with 3.9 final drive

and pending funds, exedy stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel.

Will try and document the build as I go along, and will hopefully be at he pod on 15th September as long as I dont brake anything! :D

Nice work. Id definitely recommend at the very least a decat or a different exhaust system and if you are remapping then a popcharger or similar is worthwhile too.

EPR do a thing that sharpens throttle response too which Ive heard good things about. Good luck man, will be keeping an eye on this

Got the decats, cat back system and popcharger

I bought that gizzmo from EPRacing and to be honest i think its a bit of a gimmic. Just makes the car more twitchy, doesnt seem to make any difference on WOT. So will be selling that shortly!

Thanks for the interest gents, should be all good - Just waiting for my Army bonus from being in Afghan :smash:

    Excellente.

Something else Ive found if you are going the aero route is my Chargespeed bumper is way lower to the ground than it should be, meaning the car wont do much lowerz. Worth bearing in mind, as I bet its not the only one.

If i do do aero, it will just be a tidy front lip, I want the car slammed - low and wide, just like you say wont be able to get away with aero :D

    Cheers man

Right here we go, so fitted my suspension package this afternoon. All went on pretty straight forward, ran out of daylight to set it all up though. Just managed to get it all on the car...

    Standard set-up nice and clean - I like! :D

Looking at it i think i did a booboo with the rear springs.

Dont think I should have used the standard rubber mounts as at the moment its sitting at stock height and you can see in the pic i only have around an inch to play with

Can anyone confirm this, i didnt get any instructions with the gear :smash:
