Las Vegas EUGENE's LS1 Here is my new 2010 S13 sr20 build. Well, I got some extra time I will be spending at home, so I decided to get a new shell and start over. My old shell was great but there is things I want to do different on the new one. Here is some pictures of my start: here we go stitch welding Ran out of gas so i started to prepping rest of the car removed factory seat brackets damn a lot more to go
Rear arches before and after waiting for some gas so I can weld em. well here is today This took longer then TIG welding GOT TUBS??? Here is update form today...... Frame plugs some gussets
quote author=kurai shimo link=topic=2893.msg25036#msg25036 date=1267751921] while the dimples arent something i care about as much as everyone else on here, i like the placement of the p/s reservoir! if you have time and a tig, it would be cool to see a custom reservoir (you could make it larger if it fit the space in that corner) [/quote] Changed the shape of that gusset so now the p/s reservoir will go right in there and yes custom one will be cool. plus closed all the extra holes and some gussets on the frame rails to firewall Ok on wed I prepped the engine bay and got the primer Ok on wed I prepped the engine bay and got the primer
Ok so I have moved and had to deal with a lot of shit!!! After I got done setting up the garage I finally got some work done............ Thanks to DDS (Kyle) for couple of bends... Action shoot and here is my finished cage New steering column brackets welded to the cage So I got to do a lot of little shit............. thats why I haven't posted any pics for a while. Today I got overfenders and body kit pre-fitted now time to strip it all down and start with the painting. D-max front fenders D-max rear overfenders Rims
Did some work today: welded aluminum air duck for my intercooler (also the air duck holds my front bumper) , made a front bash bar and mounted oil cooler. The bumper hangs right on top of that lip Bash bar Oil cooler My lil helper Here is some shit I've done today: pre fitted my pop up's , they will always stay up I think it looks sick.... on a hatch and got my rear brace with a spot to jack up the car...... since the car will be super low and jack wont slide under my bumper ( my old car was like that I always had a hard time lifting it during tire changing and the kit was not as low as this one ) 2 days ago I sanded the whole car and primered Engine bay, under the car inside and all the body parts....... waited a day and wet sanded the whole car again . Thanks to my Brother William for helping me.... Today I finally painted inside of the car its a very light Gray color Outside will be next....
I was thinking of not posting pics till the car is finished but I couldn't keep it to myself...... The color I picked is 2010 porsche GT3 and it's pretty wild........ ;D I got all the body put together also finished putting all the lexan windows and also got mirrors put on and subframe and the solid bushings........subframe was a pain in the ass i was under the car for an hour and my neck was killing me but I got it on :'( My mini mirrors Thanks to Ray for hooking me up with the wheel.... subframe with solid bushings..... Lexan windows Top view of intercooler and oil cooler LCA's Fuel Tank and Diff installed And this weeks big buy
Ok so I got my new Wheels and getting the stance right was a lot of work I think I put the car up and down Like 200 times but I finally got it how I want it to look....... ;D So the car is on its wheel now engine and wiring and I am ready to roll....... Got the engine in today Here is the before and after pic's of my new custom fan shroud. This is what i had on there before. Here is the new one I built from aluminum. *I used same fan and had to cut it out and put it in new shroud. Oil Cooler and oil filter relocated Relocated power steering tank Looking good I am so close to finish......
Car looks even better outside...... oh I made new exhaust looks really biggggg OK Car is almost done did some more wiring and made my oil catch can.... still got to weld in connectors waiting for those also since I had to cut the bumper a little to fit the new exhaust..... I made a frame to cover the cut fiberglass.... I been working on my dash tucking wires and making it all look neat.... RESULT: Some random pics
Its an original cluster. The front of it was cut out and glued to an aluminum plate that i cut out and wrapped in suede Kouki it is .................... * Got roof spoiler on! makes the car look lower and also flows with the shape of the car......
awsome shot Car is a lower and damn its scraping everything lol love it.... So on my old car when I am drifting and suspension going up and down front tire rubs off fiberglass fender... so maybe this will help got aluminum plate traced and cut to fit perfect and then bent a little lip where tire will rub instead cutting into the fender. that will be protecting my nice D-max fenders lol I hope Fits nice and tight
That is fucking amazing. all in one page Love the hole look of it i woulda gone more in-your-face green but thats kool i like A LOT
awesome, when it comes to building my next one it will be in a similar vane as this. love it. but i would have gone for a subtle color!
Saw it on Facebook the other day somewhere, amazing build. I would have preferred a different colour myself hy the work is incredible, amazing build!
