Hello everyone. I reside in Tennessee, Red Neck capitol of the USA. In a land of stupid huge lifted trucks Im building a little skidder truck.

I bought a mazda B2000 for 300 bucks and rebuilt the top end. I realized it was pretty good at going sideways in stock forum.

Here is the plan. Its a little bit of mini truck, a little bit if drifter. Im going to build tubular control arms for 240sx spindles for wheel and brake upgrades, possibly make my own spindles.

Staying leafs in the back to keep its truck identity, maybe 4 link or IRS later.

Coilovers in the front eventually, as with rack and pinion steering.

KA24E for now. I know its looked at as an under dog but I like them plus they are cheap. Full KAT build later looking for 300 whp.

Body drop to get it as low as possible, the minitruck peeking through.

    Full cage.

Well thats the plan, now for pics.

    Finally got my new motor

Started stripping the truck. Cab will be off tomorrow.

Re did my leaf packs and got 3 inches of drop. Overload leaf on top and 2 smaller flatter suzuki samurai leafs underneath. Ill be making 3 inch blocks soon.

I want the frame 5 inches off the ground, the height of a coke can. Plenty of clearance for speed bumps.

Got the cab off all by my self. what a pain in the ass.

motor is going to fit quite nicely, shifter will be about 2 inches further back. may have to move the shifter hole.

    Low low. Just right.

might be enough clearance. Its sitting on the sway bar. Might re mount it to the rear.

    trans mount

motor has a little slant to it. Im guessing for intake length.

    Doin work today.

Hey look front motor mounts. Well almost.

Passenger side is a little more tricky

got alot done today but mot much picture worthy.

Pressure washed entire frame and painted some rust.

    ball joint flip

bump stops and shock mounts gone

worked some decent angle out of the stock steering system

not a really good steering design for drifting but it will work for now. maybe rack and pinion later.

hours and hours with a toothbrush and lots of solvents

Not bad for being older than I am

timing system is a little worn, ill replace it soon. Along with making an adjustable cam sprocket.

I NORMALLY HATE BLOCKS, but ill make a temporary exception.

getting there. It will be 2" lower in the back when done.

and im making some of these. They will help with rear suspension movement when sideways.

got to love a plasma cutter

    and hours and hours later

I only have 2 of the 4 bearings I need.

stripped the manifold of everything it does not need. Welded up the egr and some vacuum ports.

Somehow the stock exhaust comes very close to fitting. Good thing I wont have to cut up the new header too much.

About the gear knob. I have already traded it off to a friend for an inline fuel pump I need.

Yes, yes and yes thrice over. Something a bit leftfield, some sweet looking custom fabbing and what looks like plenty of project mojo.

I see gun rack full in the back, window down arm out, grubby baseball cap askew full lock smoke machine :D

Got my cheap ebay stainless header in today, for the price its actually pretty good. Nice bends, but sugared welds. Guess they don't bother with back purging in china. Anyway ill have to clearance the motor mount a little to get it to fit. Ill also weld the inside of the ports at the flange and port match it better. Pics tomorrow.

not bad for 95$ to my door.

Ill be welding up these crummy ports and port match them to the head, so no big deal.
