    -- --- SIL80 to 180 MaNiA all mash and a floppy sausage -----

Well as a few of you will know i owned an R32 that changed a fair bit over the years, R32 vertex kitted, Do-Luck kitted then its last form R324 .It also changed from 240bhp on to a nice 404bhp over the 3 years of ownership

It was great fun and i learnt alot in it and put alot of money into it as we all do with projects.

Now on to the new one, after the engine let go in the skyline id really come to the end of my love for the 32 and decided to call it a day and break it for parts it pained me to do but it just had to be done.

I have owned a few s-bodies over the years along side the skyline and just loved the feel and drive of them so it was obvious to me what i wanted.

I got on the look out for any s-body really, s13, s14, ps13, s15 and 180sx. My only criteria this time would be to reap someone elses work and buy a skid car which was already modded and to just put my touch to it.

It didnt take long for me to find just what i was after. A sil80 which had pretty much the spec i was after and much more. Im sure a few of you had seen it forsale on here a few times and i couldnt understand why it hadnt gone really, so was a bit hesitant but i definatley wasnt disapointed.

So after an mediocre drive up and back here it is.

The spec list is as follows :

    Sr20det purple top
    Apexi power fc Ecu
    Stainless mainless manifold HPI
    apexi turbo elbows

    front ps13 conversion
    Trust downpipe

    Blitz fmic
    Tomei front strut brace

    rear full cage
    sparco bucket seat
    Blitz Oil temp gauge
    Blitz Exhaust temp gauge
    Blitz Boost gauge
    Cusco catch can
    oil cooler with braided lines
    Tomei brake stopper
Braided brake lines front + Rear
    5 stud hub conversion
    Enkei wheels 17's
    front 25mm fenders
    rear 30mm fenders smoothed in
ironing board spoiler (not sure on make)
    BN sport kit
    Aftermarket Mirrors
    JIC coilovers
    JIC tension rods
JIC camber arms and lower arms
    cusco 2 way
    twin plate clutch
    lightend fly wheel
    Ali rad
    555 injectors
    Apex HG
    sparco steering wheel
    Rocker arm stoppers
    cams -
    GT 28RS

    apexi filter

Once the car was back the first thing i did was take the horrid bonnet raisers of and remove the front grille. had to leave then as was getting fairly late and dark lol.

The next day plan was to do a nice fluid change and get it on the ramp to see if there were any issues, all that was needed was a pair of rack boots as the standard ones were pulling out the rack due to some unknown lock mods and the pads need replacing, so over all pretty good. There are no signs of rust at all.

My pa changed the diff as i really loved the feel of my r32 one and it bolted straight up so that went in.

pic before the bonnet raisers got taken of

So yesterday was the first day i had chance to work on the car after a week at work of itchy fingers,so i got on to it

    Things that were done:

Remove and replace steering wheel with smaller 350mm one.
Remove BGW (just didnt like the look)
    Removed the stickers
Hoovered and cleaned the massive amounts of dog hair took hours lol
    Fit Magic21 gear knob
    Fitted spacers on the front
    Fitted fanboi stickers

I tried lowering the JIC coilovers but was a NO go, so im going to have to take them of for some full on scrubbing.

It skids really well and pulls very very hard im really happy with the car.

My next plans are to sort the brake pads, then get to as many drift days as i can.

In the long run ill probably replace the front bumper as its a bit hovercrafty for me and get some new coilovers but im in no rush.

Ill leave you with some piccies im really chuffed as i say. Comments welcome

    Cheers ppl

I have a few ideas, I'm thinking 326 power rear wing and I already have a carbon fibre grille coming as I like the look of no grille just don't like seeing the bonnet pulls and bits.

Its a project so I'll take my time making adjustments and touches to get it just how I want

Well did a little bit this wekend

I really wanted to get the coilovers lower at the back, so got to taking those of and soaking them in everything i could find as they were proper seized up. After 3 hours of smacking my knuckles and soaking, bashing and pulling i got 3 rings loose and moveable but the last im stuck so gonna get the blow torch on it when i can

At the same time i got looking for the annoying clinking noise coming from the back end, turns out the cusco camber arms have some pretty worn rose joints so im either going to replace them or get new camber arms will see what comes up.

little piccy, ill cleam them up a bit too if im keeping them

I also got to take a good look under the car and it really is MINT not a spot of rust at all, and the Trust exhaust system looks to be in great nick.
