    first drifter

hi guys wanted to start something to help me decide what car to get for a good and cheap first drifter.
here are my thoughts so far.
ive been looking around the forum and its thrown up a few suggestions:
mazda mx-5? would be nice but its a two seat
    bmw e30 320/325
    lexus is200/altezza
any other suggestions? id quite like it to be a 4 door and nothing to gangster as im a young driver so insurance could be an issue?

im leaning towards the is200. so anyone whos owned/driven or had any experience of them then please let me know, pros/cons, what to look out for when buying used. and of course the best ways to help it get sideways!

    thanks dudes. peace

Use the search button at the top dude, type in 'first drift car' this has bein discussed a million times. But people will probably still help, I didn't get any of the mentioned cars, also your age would help. When I turned 19 and had a few years no claims I picked up my first s14, really good starter car but be prepared for high insurance cost and ESSO's best friend.

r33 ???? it all depends on your budget, what sort of car your looking for be it cheap, easy, hard work, high powered, under powered, lots of parts available etc

i mean ANYTHING rwd will skid but it all depends on how much work you want to put in to either your driving style and or the car

on another note - mx5 1.8 skids well but u need balls as its under powered
is200 have shit lock, shit power and amazingly shit mpg considering what they are
e30/e34/e36 325i's are great cars, skid easily, lots of lock and lots of parts
s13 are like skidding with training wheels compared to alot of other cars

DRIFTING is pushin a car against its intended design, then playing with the LAWS OF PHYSICS

Would love an r32 if I'm dreaming but a 13 would be nice too.
I'm really looking for a weekend warrior and something that won't cost an arm, leg, liver and a kidney to run (as the stagea does!)

Anything cheap, jap and rwd would suit though.
