Hey guys, sorry its been so long i've been massively busy but in any case, still been able to make some progress in one form or another.

so had a few days out just to keep the girlfriend happy

we decided to have a day out at luna park retro theme park cost me a bloody fortune!! but fun none the less
took a trip down to torquay got a picture of the sun set awesome

went out with a few of the guys watched them drift was a good laugh also got a chance to find/see some drifting spots around melbourne (not that I'm going to be doing that cos I'm a good boy lol
here is a vid a little dark but hey its an iPhone :P
    http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/7104/gb4.mp4
i found this monster at work sat on the side of the van i named it fred made my day i must say!

i managed to locate a guy here who was breaking his KE70 and decided i would go rape his car for parts got my self some seats that actually match my rear and are in decent condish. all small bit really fuel pressure regulator, side light covers, rear lights, knobs for the interior, bolts screws...

oh and managed to get myself a quick release with a steering wheel tried to bend i before buying it really not happening so a good purchase i thought for cheap ofcourse! :P
i started filling the arches the first pass of filler for fronts..

managed to get them like this (only got one side forgot the other lol)
looks shitty in the pic but is better in the flesh
    filed some dents

Something that has really been playing on my mind is bonnet raisers...
    up of down?

and if anyone has any idea what so ever? i found these just laying there i didn't take much to realise that the black ones are temp sensor and oil sensor but the white one? i have no idea and looking online has only confused me more. i really dont want to rip the dash out and trace but with no help ill have to

you can see the plug on the top left hand side that white plug is the unplugged end... any help would be appreciated

one other thing before i bugger off.... i found this and wondered if anyone has tried to fit a ae86 rear bumper and TRD spoiler part from this guy? and what it entails?

been flat out the last week, barely had time to get my shit together with the car, i only have 21 days left to get her on the road and it looks like paint will have to wait for the time being atleast get her prepped and ready i suppose.

in the evenings that i could i have managed to get some of the wiring sorted in the engine bay, frankly whoever wired that up should be shot! lol never the less its looking better haven't got any pics yet ill have to get some.
i found out that the wire with the white plug didn't even do anything maybe something to do with the air con i dont know its gone now so i dont care lol

one of the bolts for the passenger side seat had been snapped off, i tried drilling it but its not happening anyone know how i can get it out?

lastly today i started stripping the interior to be flocked which I'm still in the process of trying to find a flocker to do in melbourne nightmare!!!

ill get more pics up when there is a bit more visual progress

Hey peeps, another update! Been doing a few things really, went down to super cheap auto and Repco and got loads of bits mostly for body work and general parts of the car that need a tidy up

also got a high speed drill bit to drill that bloody snapped off bolt out amazing how much easier it is once you have the right tools!!

pulled all the dash out with bits and pieces to repair, as i had cracks galore so they have been sanded and prepped, just need to fill the cracks. I found a flock supplier (THANK GOD!!) have been looking for ages and the nice chap down at Riverside Customs in Hoppers Crossing had a contact so i thank him for that! here's the interior as it stands pretty messy but who cares really LOL!

As you may recall my rims were in a dyer state! this was before i spent 4 hours polishing just ONE WHEEL!! by hand with metal polish!!

    and after....

    again..

honestly i have officially justified buying a buffer for the other 3... because frankly, FUCK doing that again. This one still isn't finished, it's 2 thirds of the way done and I've had enough my hands are killing me!! but a good result i feel! thats all for now I've got shits loads to do before the 27th to get it ready for the road! wish me luck!

That is an amazing difference on the wheels mate it may have taken 4 hours but so worth it!! What metal polish you use??

Why is it the 27th that is the big day?? Just a random date or something happening??

I can't remember the damn name of the stuff you can see it on the left of the last picture. I'll fin out for
Sure! Going to pick my buffer later after work so the other will be done in no time at all

The 27th because Caitlin starts uni and the car has to be on the road so she can have her car back. It's going to be a push as I have to flock, put the car back together, put the springs back to standard, put seats in, weld up the rust in the boot, fix the exhaust, find standard wheels for it, finish the loom, get rid of the leaks in the fuel line and few other bits and pieces lol full on but I've told Caitlin I'll be in the garage every minute I have free so she understands lol.

Spent most of this evening finishing off the rims, i went and bought a buffer after work (which is a god send!) and managed to nearly finish off the first wheel and cleaned up the lips on the watanabes. managed to stop the fuel pump leaking and cleaned up some more of the loom.

the one on the left is still un polished not much of a difference but still looks better.

this is both of them now done. they do need colour but that will come later

I've also started to sand down the body for paint and cleaning up all the little dings etc. It's coming together slowly but i really need to pick up the pace though as I'm running out of time I'm gonna ring the flocking company tomo and get that shit sorted. one of the guys has some black moulded carpet here and I'm picking that up on wednesday so interior all matching flock and black should look good!

Keep pushing on mate I must admit I start to get a bit disheartened when working flat out on a car until you start seeing the results and then get a second wind off life... You gotta be happy with the outcome on those wheels!! Fingers crossed on the flocking all being sorted in time!!
Well the bodyshop has started on mine now just gotta play the waiting game now!! Hate having something I can't use bet your the same though seeing the motor just sat there bet you just wanna get in and play!!

so I've been pretty busy the last few days, got loads of bits and pieces for the car, the new carpet, new thermo fan as the old one was a load of shite! primers glues etc, a new welder with all the bits.

i primered the door seals for now i'll finish it off once i have it roadworthy'd as i have a bit of a time limit.

i had a crack at sanding down the car i've got the rear end done and the front fenders a few dings but all in all they're in good shape

i managed to stuff a flat head screw driver under my nail which was pretty painful which i fixed with some super glue :P

the carpet is virtually finished just need to fasten the drivers side down now.

i was pretty chuffed with the results so far

so the last few days have been quite productive today was 35 degrees and i was sweating my ass of in the garage must have lost a few pounds! haha anyway hopefully by the end of next week the car will be all in one piece and i can get it road! WOOP!
