So I managed to acquire a new item for my car which meant I ground out on alot of things lol.

I took a risk and didn't know whether it could be done, but with alot of persuasion and undoing the boot struts I managed to fit an sr20 in the back of the car with just the seat folded flat.

So I'm finally ditching the CA pieces of shit and fingers crossed I'll finally be able to start using the car without it breaking!!

The engine had done approximately 80k and is an import blacktop with vvt.

All thats left to buy now to complete the engine is a manifold, injectors, clutch and fly wheel, and maybe a better boost controller, and hopefully push over 300hp

A few more updates for the sr now finally

They are some nismo 555s and an organic clutch, still unsure whether i should have got a paddle, but it is a daily so will help being in traffic.

I've also got myself an safc and stainless manifold and sr bellhousing and flywheel.

The car is off the road again now and hopefully should all be up and running for pod on the 19th.

    Ambitious maybe?

Atleast I wont have to put fresh oil in the car every 2 days now, it was leaking about a litre of oil every 4 days! On top of all the other shit that was wrong with that engine.

Could probably do with cleaning the engine bay a bit.

I guess its almost halfway there. I just hope the sr is running by friday or no pod for me saturday

Over a month has passed and not much has happened really. I'm stuck on the wiring loom so not sure where to go with it from here. I'm loosing motivation with it a bit

But in the meantime me and a few pals decided on some decoration to ease the stress.

Interior could be tidier I guess.

Has anyone had any experience with putting an import blacktop bentcam engine in a uk 13, loom wise?

Mate seriously keep going, I started my swap last Monday and I'm almost ready for the SR to go back in. I will update my thread soon but like you decided to spray my bay and clean things up. Look forward to seeing more just waiting on parts and wiring now :-)

    I would, but that's naughty

I got a stack of wheels and tyres down the side of my house now that need destroying though....

Also you can have a sump plug and manifold this weekend.

I will update this thread shortly with how the car stands as well

    Updates updates updates...

Almost there with the car now. The colours are looking a bit mixed bit I couldn't care less, as long as it works

Abs has been removed now also

I haven't got the 555s in it right now. We are going to see how it runs under standard actuator pressure before putting more power through it. Hopefully the end of this weekend it should be ready to be turned over for the first time in months!!

    Anyway, more pics

Its a bit of a Marmite style engine bay. Its all coming together though finally thanks to a big hand from a few friends

More pictures and updates. Car has been running for a few weeks now. Sorted out a few issues with it and so far so good. Just needs a remap as its running the standard ecu but with 10psi through the turbo

I also got a mig spec diff finally and some random sideskirts off ebay Also killed my 17" tyres haha.

Thats how it stands atm. If all goes well should be going pod on the 19th of September to break the car in properly.

Yesterday I had some help fitting an aftermarket water temp gauge as the one on my dash isn't working and I really cba to find the fault lol.

Also, my clutch is a bit shoddy. I've done about 600miles on it and it slips and stinks, also the release bearing is fucking noisy. So for a brand new clutch I'm a bit pissed off. Its an exedy organic thing. So Its probably me choosing a poor choice of clutch thinking it'll be ok.

That exedy organic clutch should be ok? What was the flywheel like? Did you get it skimmed?

I got a lightened flywheel in it and there was a few spots on it before it went in, but nothing major that needed skimming.

The release bearing was loud as soon as the clutch went in though.
