    PS13 daily / drift car build

    Hi all, been on with my ps13 build for a couple of months now & i thought i mite as well post it on here now i'm stalking the parts for sale section on an almost hourly basis

    It all started when a mate mentioned a local PS13 Silvia that had been sat on a blokes drive for years as one of them "never never" projects. we decided to pass his house just out of curiosity cos i'd never seen one in the flesh apart from at drift events. I decided to knock on his door for a bit of banter about the car & tested the waters to see if he'd consider selling it.... & he did!!!! so here goes!

    the Silvia was originally a ca18de non turbo that he'd wanted to do a turbo engine swap. he had accumulated all the parts for the job but only got as far as removing the original engine

    anyhow, enough of the typing, pictures speak louder than words

    Standard PS13 Silvia



    only mod's were skyline GTS calipers, solid steering bush & these horrible wheels

    empty bay, took 5 hours to angle grind the standard engine mounts off without damaging the subframe

    engine, turbo & box in the bay



    home made bracketry for my massive intercooler (this is the 3rd car i've had to buy to make it fit lol)



    modified standard bumper brace



    trial fitting of vented fibreglass bonnet & aftermarket bumper



    HSD coilovers fitted, note, front mudflaps are almost touching the ground



    boost pipes & ali rad fitted



    twin electric fans & blitz bov



    17" Rota Slipstreams





    still got a few more jobs to do to get it her on the road, have to take the gearbox back off cos of a leaking crankshaft oil seal & the biatch won't run because of a fuse box problem with the EGi pump, but that's the story so far, also need a pair of wider front arches cos the bumper isn't sitting flush with the standard ones

    looks very nice would love to have a ps13 but for now ill stick with the e30. good luck and ill be watch this.

    what a find dude . best you would get round here is a rotten s13 auto for silly money . looks like a really clean car is it dark green or black

    it's dark green, in really good condition, am not gonna tell people how much i got it for cos it will make them cry

    £700 for the car, £300 for engine, gearbox & Scorpion exhaust.... but i've lost count on all the other goodies

    decided to run with the standard front bumper for now til i can get some wider fibreglass wings to sit flush with the aftermarket bumper... got some clear indicators too!

    i'm gonna cry anyway... found the leak was actually coming from a porous sump so everything's gotta come back out again so i can replace it

    we've managed to get the engine back in & the fuel pump working buy taking a live from the lights to works off the sidelights for now.... however, it's running really rough & on only 3 cylinders, it's also chuffing smoke out of the breathers, but i'm not sure if the vacuums & breathers are correct :S

    buy checking & swapping the coil packs i've found it's the first cylinder, so i'm off to buy a compression tester. just hope i don't have to take the engine out again cos it's ruining my life

    feel for you man, i've got the same ahead of me, cept this will be the initial engine change, just hope everything works as it should risk you take when you buy 2nd hand stuff though i guess :'(

    ps, keep the oem front bumper, it looks so much cooler and you'll regret changing it in the future, i have done on past cars

    yup you can't believe anything you are told when buying something used. i'm only gonna be running the CA until i've built an SR20DET from the ground up so i know myself everything will be drift proof

    ps i'm loving the standard bumper
