hi there, here some pics of my new project, don't really know how much time it will take, and that's not important it's a shell i bought in lituania,it's a lhd shell,i was thinking to make it light as it's possible with low budget lot of work to do on the under the chassis, its' a big peace of rust!! but plan have changed, too much rust, and finally want it road legal, but here in france it's impossible or very expensive to registrate a japanese car... so here is my solution ^^ i keep the only "piece" of the car without rust
How is it a death trap? If done properly a cut and shut can be as strong if not actually stronger than a normal shell, good weld being stronger than straight metal and all that. Plus he hasn't taken any of the floor out and the roof is pretty easy to put strength into. Good luck with it mate its certainly different! And its nice to see someone thinking outside of the box.
Thanks mate, all parts cuted and welded have been stitsh welded - - - Updated - - - Thanks mate, all parts cuted and welded have been stitsh welded
because all the under of the car was so rusty....that's what i wanted to do at the biginning...one onevia but it was so much work... here i spend 3day for cut and weld...not so much work compared to the work i have to do on the ps13 chassis
That's cool as fuck, bet that was fun to do, bitches, it's only a roof and boot, it's not a cut and shut.
Cut and shut is when you cut through the chassi and just weld it straight back. There are safe ways of doing things on cars. Keep up the good work man.
To be fair I thought a cut and shut was two halfs of cars? The chassis hasn't been fucked with here so I would't call it a cut n' shut nor a death trap. It's almost like anyone who does the stupid s13 pick up truck mod. If the welding is good I don't see the problem.
exactly. People cut and shut knuckles, LCA's etc... Then say this is dangerous? Bitch please. I certainly would have a good cage in it mind you!
