Well after a checkered history of average and pretty rubbish cars i decided to build something decent 3.0 m3 engine and box swap BC coilovers Bucket seats SLR steering kit Weld In Cage 3.91 diff Dw Lightened flywheel Full Powerflex Black Bushes all round so i started off with this pretty decent touring shell Now i do apologise for what your about to see but i got this cheap enough, funnily enough the owner said it looked like an e30 m3......LOL yes as i said i do apologise.... it did end up being stripped then the arches ripped off and the shell abused before it went for scrap, though i still have the front bumper somewhere just to remind me of how shit it was. As for the proper car it was all prepared by Chizfab apart from the easy things like fitting suspension and bucket seats. Im pretty rubbish at mechanical things so leave it to folks who have a clue. Engine in Found some racing dynamics RGPs 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 FITMENT lol Amber indicators have been fitted i just didnt have any when i had these taken We finally got the car down to the track for a test, happy days..... or so i thought, brand new clutch, BOOM anyway that got fixed, car has been pretty good so far, Cars still going strong aswell. still has the 3.91 diff, slr kit and whenever custom cages decide to give me my fucking cage (over 7 weeks wait now) that will eventually go in and get painted.
Holy shit, that coupe! I remember seeing it years ago at the bmw show at santa pod, pretty much summed the show up for me and never went back! Touring looks cool, wheels look great too
Probably saw it about it was a bag of shit underneath, the fuel filler neck....OMG lol. I had to remove it from the world though
Tourer looks brilliant, I'm guessing the conversion is pretty straight forward. Any more plans for it?
Nah i aint got much more planned tbh, get the 3.91 diff done and fitted, get my slr kit fitted once it arrives and hopefully by then Custom cages might get their finger out thier arse and give me my bloody cage. Just gonna drive it and see what its like by the end of the year. may wait and keep the m3 in it or get an rb fitted in once chizfab figure it all out.
so the guys at dorilabs put up this pic today, go check them out on facebook pretty decent guys there.
Couldn't agree more. How much trouble was it fitting the M3 engine? And is it a 321 hp or 286 hp version?
Pretty straight forward, plug and play as far as I'm aware, it's the 286 3.0 version not the 3.2. The donor car come up cheap so wasn't too fussed what engine it was
Excellent car! A friend just bought a dirty diesel M sport tourer...I suspect we'll be doing an engine swap soon when he sees this! Thank you for your inspiration.
Looking good gogzy! Awesome car! Looks even beter in the flesh, on the track, sideways! See you up there soon man
lets try this again et13 wheels with 20mm spacers so et-7 and tons of neg camber still no skid pics think it should be sorted now
